How much does Maaco charge to paint a truck?

I would like to paint my truck, it has no rust on it what so ever, and I was wondering how much it would cost to get it done. I live in Newmarket Ontario, and the only place i know that does body paint is Maaco. If there are other places that do body paint, let me know please.

Maaco offers several different quality paint jobs which vary in price and quality. Their cheapest is about $ 250 and should be good for about 2-3 years before fading becomes a problem. Their best is about $ 500 and lasts for quite a few years because it includes a clear topcoat to protect the paint. Any bodywork needed is of course extra. The prices I quoted are US dollars. They do occasionally advertise specials and the price could be a bit less. I’m not sure but the specials appear to be all of the time. I’m assuming you’re talking about a pickup and not a box truck.

    I wouldn’t got to Maaco if you could avoid it. You get what you pay for when it comes to paint. Maaco doesn’t mask the cars right, as in they don’t cover everything that isn’t suppose to be painted. Also, they use cheap paint and often don’t put a clear coat on the car. That cost extra, and the clear coat is what protects the paint from the elements. Now, to answer the local questions:

    I live in Florida, so don’t ask if I have any experience with these guys. If you have a trusted mechanic, or see any nice hot rods, or show cars in town you can ask them for a good automotive shop with a spray booth.

    Just a note, painting a car can be rather expensive. It’s cheaper to get the car painted the color it came from the factory, this way you don’t have to strip out all the electronics, engine, etc to repaint those areas. Another thing to consider is sanding the trunk, and primering it before taking it to get painted. It will take some time, and effort and a little cost in pick up supplies, sanding block, sand paper, primer, masking tape, etc, but this will save you hundreds of dollars. If you don’t have an air compressor automotive shops sell primer in spray paint cans that are just as good as the spray gun stuff.

    Also, doing a lot of the masking yourself will save you a lot of cash as well. When it’s ready for paint, mask it up and tow it to the location, or drive it there and than mask it. Whichever you feel more comfortable with.

    The nice thing about this approach is that you can get them to lay down some racing strips, two tone the truck, or possible get pin striping done. If your going with a simple pin strip line down the side, look online and buy 3M pin striping tape. It’s what most dealerships put on their cars, which will cost you the consumer about 10 dollars for the tap, and it’s easily removable (made of vinyl) so you don’t have to worry about damaging the pain

    oh oh!! better get maaco!! i think depends on what needs to be done like body work dints sanding ect.. 500 to 5000
